Aliens Art - Sweaty Space Marines

One of my all‑time favorite films is Aliens. Nobody does chaotic crash‑outs like that movie, and space horror is my ultimate comfort genre.

I miss 2 things about old movies:

  1. The way they talk - the more obnoxious, the better. I swear half of them were projecting just to make sure the mics caught it. Everyone in Sleepaway Camp speaks like they’re trying to out‑yell the boom operator, and it absolutely destroys me. It’s funny - we’ve had ADR for decades, so rough dialogue always throws me - but I can imagine a lot of productions don’t have time/money/scheduling for it.

  2. The sweat. That glossy and overheated, we’re trapped in a metal hallway with no air, face sheen.

Modern movies are way too bone dry. Aliens: Romulus (by Fede Álvarez) got the memo. Thank you. Give me that sweat.

Anyway… here’s some of my digital painting art posters. Please enjoy!

Corporal Colette Ferro - Colette Hiller

Private Vasquez - Jenette Goldstein and Private Hudson - Bill Paxton

Sergeant Apone - Al Matthews

Goddamn it Hudson!

Private Hudson - Bill Paxton

Corporal Hicks - Michael Biehn

Game over, man! Game over!

If you’re curious - here’s every line of Bill’s. Epic. Iconic. Delivered with that charm only he had.
