notes

*Quarantine is the American remake of [REC], while [REC] is the original Spanish film. The two movies are very similar, since Quarantine closely follows the plot and structure of [REC].

warning! Spoilers ahead

*For Midsommar: Dany doesn’t necessarily succeed in the traditional sense. She does a pretty good job of navigating the cult, but we also know that the cult is manipulating her throughout the film. So I wouldn’t say she "kicks ass" as much as she simply survives an incredibly difficult and traumatic situation.
